After retiring the Mizuno wave ignites and Mizuno Basara 101, the result is a football cleat that has a nice barefoot feel with adequate padding in the heel areas. Guess what that soccer cleat is— the Mizuno  Rebula 3.

MIZUNO RUBELA, WHAT CHANGED?

The Mizuno  1 one has a sizing problem. For many soccer players, half size up was too big and half size down was just too tight.  Worse yet, true to size was too small.

The Mizuno Rubella 2 was an amazing football boot with quality leather material. One problem most players have with it was the fit.   Going a size up resulted in blisters for many users.

As a result of this, the Mizuno Rebula series was in danger of being left behind.  Going back to the drawing board, Mizuno knew that has to act fast and do something better.

They came up with better options. The Mizuno Rebula 2.   To maintain the shape of the Mizuno Rubela 3. Mizuno also used its tried and tested foam cage technique.  This foam cage retains the leather feel and prevents the leather from overstretching.

This foam cage also removes the need for stitching.   Unlike other leather football boots that become soaked when playing on muddy pitches, the uninterrupted piece of leather in this cleat reduces its water intake.

This design reduced the advantage synthetics may now have over leather football cleats.

MIZUNO REBULA WHAT DIDN’T CHANGE

Just like in other Mizuno football boot models, Mizuno also used the highly effective wave-fit lacing system which has been seen in the Mizuno Morelia Neo 2.  The lace hole is in a zig-zag shape so you can tighten specific areas in the football boot.
